About us

RIS is an independent, non-governmental organization, founded by jurists specialized in International Law, with the aim of achieving a better understanding and application of International Human Rights Law. We identify violations of civil rights, through investigation, propose solutions to state, European and international authorities and promote public awareness activities.

Our mission

The promotion and defense of civil rights and liberties, through the identification of violations and the incidence so that they are corrected by the authorities, in order to ensure the full enjoyment of human rights for all people.

Our work

  • Research
We analyze laws, administrative practices, judicial proceedings, and identify risks to civil rights and possibilities for improvement in their effective protection. We prepare reports with the conclusions reached.
  • Sensitization
We promote public campaigns and training activities to achieve a better understanding of civil rights and promote their protection.
  • Advocacy before state, European and international authorities
Based on our work of analysis and investigation, we inform the state, European and international authorities of the violations of rights and the risks that we identify and we send these institutions realistic recommendations for the best protection of civil rights and liberties.
